AAE work: AAE work is task-based and provide an opportunity for our volunteers/interns to engage, and learn with other professionals and project leaders from diverse fields. Volunteer/Interns organize their schedules as necessary to meet agreed deadlines. Work schedules are flexible, allowing as much time to delegate time for their regular schedules. Progress reports are expected as agreed with the supervisor.
Communication: Communication tools typically used for communication and collaboration is email. We adopt a formal communication tone when communicating with the volunteers and interns, and we expect all to do the same when communicating with fellow volunteers and entrepreneurs whom they may be working with. In an intercultural/international professional setting, the use of formality and politeness can help avoid the incidence of confusion and misunderstandings. It will also generate good mutual respect with your audience and this will result in an effective teamwork for AAE. Sometimes, messages are delivered to your SPAM folders in error. Please check to be sure you don’t miss messages from AAE.
Task Allocation: All tasks have designated supervisors, however there may be a task lead as well as fellow volunteers to work with depending on the task assigned. Volunteers/Interns may choose from any of the tasks under a position. please promptly notify the supervisor of your choice. Please get in touch with your supervisor if you have any questions.
Reports: Volunteers/Interns are to submit progress reports. and a final consolidated report through the Report/blog submission page. The final report may cover operational observations, project outcomes, or professional development insights. Though not compulsory, video reports may be used as an additional proof of participation in the internship. You may post it on a social media platform and then include the link in the textual report
