Volunteer FAQs
Is there compensation for volunteering work?
Volunteers serve at their own pace and commitments can be flexible. Tasks can be undertaken whenever volunteers are available, and not heavily impacting their regular schedules. There are currently no monetary compensation for volunteer time or services. Served or active volunteers will be issued Reference or Appreciation Letters. AAE is forever grateful to volunteers for their contribution without which it would be difficult to continue our work.
Are there some tasks that I can perform on my own?

Who are Volunteer Leads?
Volunteer Leads are are middle management supervisors and visionaries who take up supervisory roles on innovative AAE activities and projects. The ideas of our volunteers count in ensuring that we explore ways of addressing the needs and provide valuable support to our community.
The purpose of the AAE Voluntary Internship Program is to offer members of the AAE Students/Intern group practical learning experience in our operational areas. Besides individual engagements, AAE collaborates with universities and educational institutions in the design of internship assignments and offers a convenient and independent path for students to apply for the internship at AAE. Students based in both African countries and non-African countries can apply directly or through thier institutions. AAE provides Completion Letters to succesful interns.

How do I track the views on the articles I am promoting?
We get the analytics from the page views tab located at the bottom right or the middle right of the article’s webpage.
How do I track user registrations. My promotions are forwarded accross several groups,
Trackable registrations is at least 5 registrations. However, if you could not track any registrations, then it is OK to tell so in your report.
What kinds of discussion topics should I post on AAE forums
Research relevant topics that may interest the community and post (weekly, bi-weekly etc). Topics may include topics on entrepreneurship, sustainability or relevant news items. Topics should stimulate constructive replies and promote the mission of AAE. The key is to post messages that members can connect with. Ask relevant questions. Offer advice and suggestions, and be generous with your knowledge.
What if two or more volunteers are promoting the same article? How do we get the number of views?
The total number of page views will be averaged among those who chose the same page unless the volunteer can show ownership of the total performance.
Where do I submit reports?

What is format of Report??

You have to also add screenshots of the views on article, fundraiser total donation screenshot and others and upload them as docx.
What is submission deadline??
Monthly reports are due by the last day of the month.
The final report is due 8 weeks after the volunteer was marked Selected on the UNV website.
Do you recognise successful fundraisers?
Successful fundraisers are issued with the AAE Fundraiser Certificate of Appreciation. They also recieve updates and become more involved in what the donation is helping fund, what accomplishments we have achieved and what our current needs are.
