Lu (Ashley) Dong is a young voices contributor, pursuing an MA in Economy, State, and Society at University College London (UCL) as an IMESS Full Scholarship recipient. She advanced sustainable development through policy and innovation. She co-authored a study on trade openness, institutionalquality, and carbon emissions, presented at international forums on ecological-economic synergies, and published on SME financial risk prediction. As a UNMDF finance intern, she optimized revenue modelsfor indigenous communities. At Consulate of Sri Lanka, she bridged cultural and economic divides, advocating for equitable trade. Aa a climate action leader, she empowered 200 students in underserved regions in western China.
