Introduction
In this report, I will use the format of a SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) analysis to analyze the company Generous Designs Africa, founded by Ugandan entrepreneur Emmanuel Lomoro. Due to the length limits, I will limit my analysis to further opportunities for growth and the threats to its success.
Main Sections
Generous Designs Africa describes itself as “a social enterprise located in one of the largest refugee camps in Uganda that recycles and upcycles ethically sourced community plastic into durable high-quality products while positively impacting youth and single mothers in the communities”. Lomoro himself places this company into the “education and humanitarian response” category, but I believe it should be expanded to include, importantly, the “recycling and upcycling” industry to account for an important part of the process.
