Internship Report: AAE Business Development Intern

Internship Description:
I interned at AAE for three months. During the first two months, my task was to create a directory containing all the organization’s corporate members and volunteers to enhance economic cooperation and business exchanges among different regions. In the third month, my task was to promote the organization on social media. I promoted two internship reports within the organization and received 1,300 visits.

Scope of Activities and Results:
One of my main tasks during the internship was to create a personnel directory from scratch. Faced with thousands of personnel information, I spent a considerable amount of time importing the data. To enhance the directory’s usability, I classified the personnel information by nationality, industry, and other aspects, and analyzed each person’s personal information to finally form a good table. Although the process was very hard, I continuously learned relevant computer skills from the internet during the internship to improve my Excel table, which greatly enhanced my learning ability and software usage skills. I also constantly communicated with my supervisor via email, improving my language communication and communication skills. Through multiple communications, I was able to complete the task successfully.

What I Learned:
This internship not only improved my English writing skills, taught me how to analyze information, and how to use office software, but also greatly enhanced my English proficiency and business skills. I also learned a lot about the operation information of African entrepreneurs. In addition, my communication and writing skills have also been greatly improved. In such a multicultural and multilingual environment, constantly exercising and improving myself has been very beneficial to me.

Reasons I Enjoyed the Internship:
The African Entrepreneurs Organization focuses on the promising African market. Interning here allows me to come into contact with emerging industries and cutting-edge business concepts. Africa has experienced rapid economic growth in recent years, with various innovative projects constantly emerging. During the internship, I had the opportunity to participate in pioneering business activities, witness and assist enterprises from their infancy to growth, which is a valuable experience that is difficult to obtain in other regions or organizations, opening up new horizons and possibilities for my personal career development. The organization brings together members from different African countries and around the world, creating a rich and diverse cultural environment. During the internship, communicating and collaborating with colleagues and entrepreneurs from different cultural backgrounds enabled me to deeply understand African local culture, while also sharing our respective cultures with international friends. This cross-cultural interaction not only enhanced my communication skills but also greatly enriched my cultural understanding, cultivating my global perspective and cultural inclusiveness.

Main Achievements:
Completed all internship tasks, including a member directory and the promotion and dissemination of organizational articles, simplifying the communication process among members and improving communication efficiency.
