Business Analysis Report on China-Africa Solar Cooker Project

1. Motivation for Choosing AAE Tasks

As a student passionate about sustainable development and China-Africa collaboration, I chose AAE Tasks to gain hands-on experience in analyzing green business models. Li Feihan‘s report perfectly demonstrates how renewable energy can simultaneously address environmental and social challenges in Africa, aligning closely with my academic focus on impact entrepreneurship.

2. Task Details

Task Name: China-Africa Project Matchmaking Research

Execution Date: August 1, 2025

Objective: Evaluate the market potential and social impact of Rongean and Olkast’s solar cooker project in Zimbabwe, and develop a sustainable business model integrating renewable energy, local empowerment, and cross-border collaboration.

3. Selected Entrepreneur Profile

Reason for Selection:

I selected Li Feihan’s solar cooker project for its innovative fusion of Chinese manufacturing strengths and African needs. The project addresses a critical pain point—95% of Zimbabwe’s rural households rely on firewood—by offering lightweight, affordable solar cookers priced at just $150. Its hybrid “commercial sales + philanthropic donation” model creates jobs, reduces cholera outbreaks, and mitigates deforestation, exemplifying inclusive technology and cross-cultural collaboration.
